The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions with Anything Direct & Bobs Radio. Upon checking out of the shopping basket you will request to accept these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference.

General
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods through our websites or over the telephone you must be at least 18 years of age and the prices and carriage quoted by our shopping basket is for delivery within the UK mainland. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

Orders Taken
Orders received via our shopping cart system are sent an automated email confirming the details of the order, this does not imply acceptance.
Anything Direct reserve the right to decline  or cancel an order for any reason.

Description of Goods
All the products we sell are of a technical nature and it is not practical to publish detailed specifications of all the products. All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Full detailed specifications are available from the manufacturer's brochures or their websites.

Accuracy of Product Information
All manufactured items are subject to improvement and change without notice and may vary from the particulars given.  Descriptions and information about products and there availability should only be gained from the anything-direct.com or bobsradio.co.uk websites.  Whilst every attempt is made to give accurate descriptions of items, the details given cannot be guaranteed. If a particular specification is important to you, please contact us for verification.

Typographical Errors
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information from our suppliers, taxes or duty changes, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. In such an instance we will alert you of any such error and your credit/debit card will not be processed

Price, Carriage & VAT
The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated at the time you place your order and unless otherwise stated all prices are inclusive of VAT,  but exclusive of delivery charges which will be as indicated at the time of checking out your order. Our delivery charges can be found under the section called shopping basket help.

Payment Methods
On the order you must provide us with your exact billing address and landline telephone number - the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received. You may also pay by cheque, bank to bank transfer or postal order, although we cannot dispatch the goods until payment has been cleared and for cheques this can take as much as 10 days.

Availability and Supply of Goods
All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. We will not process your card until your goods are ready for dispatch. We are not responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods. In certain circumstances, depending on the situation at the time, we reserve the right not supply.

Delivery Times and Off Loading
Delivery of Home Entertainment products will normally be made within 4-5 working days from clearance of payment. We also offer an optional Express Service where we will hand pick your order for you to receive the goods in 1-2 working days.  Other items that are delivered direct from the Manufacturers and may take up to 5-7 working days from clearance of payment. We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated but delays in delivery of goods is outside our control. Goods are normally despatched via Parcel Force or Amtrak. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods.

Delivery of the item is to your street door only and does not cover the handing of the goods inside buildings ie. upstairs, in lifts & long hall ways.

For Large Items such as widescreen televisions of a screen size over 28", it will be necessary to have someone on hand capable of assisting the driver to off load it.

Some drivers can be helpful in this matter, but any help they give you is totally at the drivers discretion and this arrangement is strictly between you and the driver.

Risk & Damage
As soon as the goods have been delivered you will be responsible for them. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order and goods will not be left without a signature. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk.

It is important that you check the quantity and the exterior of the packaging and note it before signing for it. Any transit damage to the goods, shortages or incorrect goods supplied must be noted on the delivery consignment note at the time of delivery.

Time Limitation for Notification of Claims

Damage in transit: If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the carrier's delivery consignment note and it will be your responsibility to inform us within 5 days of delivery.
Shortages: It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the carrier's delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to notify us within 5 days from delivery.
Incorrect Goods: It is your responsibility to notify us of any incorrect goods supplied within 7 days from delivery.
Non-Deliveries: We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 3 days from the expected delivery date. Our carriers will normally leave a card should you be out.

If you have made an arrangement for an item to be delivered on a specific day, it is your responsibility to ensure that someone is available to accept the goods. If the carriers return the undelivered item to us for non-delivery a surcharge will be levied. This is usually at least twice the outbound carriage charge.
 

Product Guarantees -General This does not affect your statutory rights.
All products supplied are covered by the terms and conditions of the Manufacturer's Guarantee usually for a period of 12 months. This guarantee specifically excludes faults caused by accident, neglect, and misuse. In addition routine maintenance (cleaning of dirty laser heads etc.), consumables (plug fuses, cables, batteries, etc.), cosmetic damage and tuning of channels is not covered.

Product Guarantees - Specific

TFT LCD Televisions The screen on TFT displays is made up of thousands of tiny pixels. A 15" flat-screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768 for example has 786423 pixels. Each pixel comprises three sub-pixels so on an average screen there are almost 2.4 million dots in total. It is within manufactures limits that a pixel can fail and manifests itself as a very small bright, dark or coloured dot on the screen that stands out from the rest and in today's production techniques we cannot guarantee an absolutely fault-free screen display. Buyers should be aware of the possibility of imperfections of this type of screen before choosing to purchase a TFT television. As such, we can only take back televisions as faulty for refund/repair if the number of stuck pixels exceeds the manufacturer's guidelines.

Due to this, there is indeed a commonly accepted 'tolerance level' by which TFTs may display such imperfections (or stuck pixels) without being classified as faulty.

IDTV (Freeview)
Where a television has Integrated Television included in the set, it is particularly important to ensure that the area in which you live has adequate Digital Television coverage as poor signal can cause picture problems, including freezing. Aerial upgrades are often necessary and in some areas a full Digital signal is not available yet. More information can be found on the Freeview website www.freeview.co.uk  including a post code check.  We do not accept responsibility for the poor functioning of the set under poor signal conditions. 
 

Cancellation of Orders & Returns:

A. No Fault Returns and or Cancellation.
You are entitled to withdraw from this contract at any time up to 14 days from us processing your order. Once an item has been shipped you will received a full credit or refund less any applicable delivery and collection charges plus a handling charge.

The goods must be unused and ‘as new’ in their original box and packaging including all manuals and accessories. You must notify us within 7 days from date of delivery to gain authorisation. It will be your responsibility to return the goods to us at your own cost and risk. However we can organise the return for you. We will refund your card less the outbound carriage cost, return carriage cost and a handling charge (£12 for most items and £5 for Roberts). Goods received back ‘as new’ but incomplete with missing components and accessories – the cost of the accessories will be charged to you. Goods received back in any condition other than ‘as new’ will be returned back to you. Where the item was on promotion with Free Outbound Shipping for the purpose of returns the outbound carriage will be calculated at our normal scale of charges.

Goods returned 14 - 28 days will be subject to a 10% re-stocking fee. We will not accept any item back beyond 28 days.

PLEASE NOTE: Certain fragile items such as LCD televisions need to be shipped in special packaging and this is usually the box they are supplied in. WE RECOMMEND YOU KEEP THE BOX in the event it needs to be shipped again.  If a box is not available and is needed, we can supply one, but it will be at an extra cost.

B. Faulty Item Returns – Major Fault on Arrival.
A product is found to have a major fault on arrival’ i.e.. it shows symptoms of a major failure preventing basic operation upon its first use out of the box. In such instances please contact our customer support helpline 0845 094 8454 within 14 days from the delivery date. You can then either return the faulty item directly yourself or we will organise a collection from your home. Upon receipt of the goods and confirmation of the fault by our technical engineers you will be offered the following options:
1. A replacement – this item will be shipped to you at our own expense.
2. A repair – the repaired item will be shipped to you at our own expense.
3. A full refund – provided the item has been verified faulty and is complete with all accessories in its original box and packaging.

Upon inspection by our engineers, if the product is found to be not faulty, then you will be offered the following options:
1. Return of the goods – the cost of delivery charged to you.
2. Refund – Subject to the terms in "A" above.

C. Minor Faults and Faults After 14 Days
The manufacturers guarantee will apply to all items reported after 14 days from delivery and or in the case of a minor fault.

This situations covered above are not exhaustive as there are so many different scenarios, but in general, if beyond 28 days you request that an item should be looked by our service department then you are responsible for the carriage of sending it to us and ensuring that it is adequately packed. We can arrange for collection for you, but we will charge this to your Credit / Debit card prior to collection.  Once an item has been checked out by our engineers a decision can be made and we will advise you. When the item is returned to you there you will be charged for the carriage.
 

This returns policy does not affect your legal rights.
